In August, I’ve launched a new series that called Publishing Notes. I wanted to explore the industry in all its different aspects to demystify things even further. Publishing Notes isn’t just for aspiring publishers, but also for those who are already in the industry and for anyone else who’s interested in the industry.
The industry has a reputation of being really traditional when in reality there’s a lot of innovation happening if you look in the right places. In the first 4 episodes we explored different roles and departments, but also discussed areas such as Bookstagram, corporate responsibility and career progression. You can have a look below and follow the series using #PublishingNotes on both Instagram and Twitter.
Publishing Notes with Ellie Pilcher, Marketing Manager at Avon, Harper Collins – watch here!
Publishing Notes with Hope Ndaba, Publicity Assistant at Vintage Books and Bookstagrammer (@Blackbookbitch) – watch here!

As I’m preparing the next series of talks, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you may be interested in and any feedback on the interviews completed. I really want to make sure this is a helpful series for you all!
